Fall Break Community/Trip Overview

This fall break students will have the opportunity to address food insecurity and homlessness in Asheville, NC and Atlanta, GA.

Asheville, NC 

The group will partner with a variety of community partners to learn how the issues of food insecurity and homelessness affect communities in Asheville.  In addition, the group will visit the aSHEville Museum and discuss the intersection of gender and class.

Atlanta, GA

Participants will learn about challenges that refugees face upon their arrival to the U.S., with a special emphasis on food insecurity. The group will partner with organizations that work with refugees and with food access.
